Organic Search Engine Results

What exactly are organic search engine results and why should you want them?

Organic search engine results, sometimes called natural results, are what is displayed right down the center of the Results Page when you search at a search engine. They are obtained by using SEO techniques and are not paid for directly to any search engine. Statistics show that users are much more likely to click an organic search engine result and the eye is naturally drawn in that direction. (See some interesting statistics)

The flip side of the coin is search engine results that are driven by pay-per-clicks (PPCs) or Sponsored Links. These are what is displayed on the right side or top and bottom of the results page when you search at a search engine. They are obtained by directly paying the search engine in either 1 of 2 ways: (1) Getting charged every time someone clicks into your site; or (2) paying for a certain number of impressions shown based on your monthly budget.
